When available and within reach, we can track:

- burglars/farm attackers

- poachers

- wounded/lost game

- stolen/lost livestock

In the case of poachers or any other foot incursions, both hot and cold pursuits are possible depending on circumstances and operational choices. Both infiltration and exfiltration routes, observation points etc. can be mapped.

In the case of wounded game, darted and lost game, or the pursuit of animals intended for rehabilitation, can be assisted with.

Should no tracks be found, or we cannot follow existing tracks, only standard fee and travel cost will apply.

Patrols with scheduled intervals can be arranged.

These patrols can either be done on horseback with K9 partner, or it can be foot patrols. 

​

Patrols with visible K9's have been shown to have a positive effect on the decline of unlawful incursions into property. These patrols can be added from time to time to already existing security patrols.

Online training can be done on various subjects and can be handled as informative sessions or as interactive sessions with practical skills to be practised at home.

 

Subjects such as Dogo Argentino history, working dog skills, equipment, hoot start training your dog and many more subjects are covered depending on the need and skill level of each individual.

With the reintroduction of wildlife into an area, whether they are just being reintroduced or whether it is rehabilitated animals, an area sweep can confirm the following:

- presence of the species in the area (important for dominant species being reintroduced or rehabilitated)

- snare sweep to prevent losses after release

- fence and area patrols to establish whether poaching activity is present

 

Light - this is a fence line sweep and a very quick recce through the area

Block - fence line sweep + a block recce of the area

           - block sizes can be variable and depending on                    terrain and total size of the area to be covered

Grid - fence line sweep + a planned intersected grid                     sweep, giving the most overlapping coverage and             detail

          - terrain dépendant (thicker vegetation,                                riverbrush, streambeds, koppies etc. may require              a smaller grid pattern for decent coverage)​​

- how scent/smells work

- how your dog perceive smells/molecules

- how to get your dog interested in any particular smell/scent

- equipment

- basics a dog handler should know

- following blood spoor

- following a specific animal's track

- man trailing can be done

We do offer the option to send your dog to ShaTranj for training for a specific period, or you could join in interactive sessions with your dog.
